Clearing Browser Cache/Cookies

Summary

This article shows a step-by-step guide for each of the most common browsers to clear cache and cookies. Clearing these from your browser can assist in allowing you to access Banner sites, load freshly updated pages, and clear errors from sites.

For Google Chrome (Windows):

1. Open the menu by clicking on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the window.

2. Select "Settings"

3. Scroll to the bottom of the tab and click "Advanced"

4. In the "Privacy and Security" window, click "Clear browsing data"

5. Set "Time range" to "All time"

6. Check "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files"

7. Click the "CLEAR DATA" button

8. Restart your browser

For Google Chrome (OS X):

1. Go to Chrome -> Clear Browsing Data...

2. Set "Time range" to "All time"

3. Check "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files"

4. Click the "CLEAR DATA" button

5. Restart your browser

For Mozilla Firefox:

1. Go to "History" -> "Clear Recent History..."

2. Set "Time range to clear" to "Everything"

3. Select only "Cookies" and "Cache" from the details list

4. Click "Clear Now"

5. Restart your browser

For Safari:

1. Click on "Safari" in the upper left corner of screen

2. Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu

3. Select the "Privacy" tab

4. Click "Remove All Website Data..." and click "Remove Now"

5. Restart your browser
